If you drive to work, see if your company has a ride share program. If not, talk to your coworkers to see if someone has the same schedule who lives close to you. Continue reading
Nature magically reveals its rebirth every spring. A watchful eye can sometimes see amazing things like bulbs pushing through the thawing ground, sometimes even through the snow. Continue reading
Being wrong has been made out to be a bad thing. But is always being right such a good thing? My mom used to say, “I may not always be right, but I’m never wrong”. I’ll give her credit for getting it half right. Continue reading
Sometimes I find the best way to let go of a the day is to light a candle, turn off all the lights, and watch the magic. Continue reading
The sun… It is the source of energy that gives life to our planet earth.
From the beginning of history, cultures all over the world have worshipped the sun. Today, many still worship the sun at the beaches, oceans, lakes, rivers, deserts, etc.
Take a moment to soak up a sun beam. On rare occasions you can actually see what we call rays of light as they sift through trees, clouds, even buildings, creating some of the most magical images. Continue reading
I feel very lucky because I live close enough to my work that I can ride my bike almost every day. On days when I have to drive due to bad weather, or for an appointment after work, or when I’m just feeling lazy, I usually notice how many people drive solo in their cars and trucks and SUVs (this is usually because I’m stuck in a long line of cars trying to escape work). This seems like a no-brainer to me, but I’m surprised almost daily when I see where someone has left trash behind as if it would just magically disappear on its own. Often this occurs out on the middle of a hiking trail where someone has stopped to take a lunch break, and/or drink a few beers (kids these days). The Golden Rule for hikers clearly states, if you bring it in, pack it out. Continue reading
Food is what nourishes our bodies. Why not eat the best food possible?
Organic food is so much more readily available than it was just a few years ago, and it’s becoming more mainstream in even the largest of grocery chains. Continue reading
